Heat Pumps

Heat pumps are one of the most innovative solutions in heating and air conditioning. They’re becoming more popular by the day, and they offer an unmatched level of convenience for Hickory, NC residents. How? For one, a heat pump has both heating and cooling functions, meaning you only need one device for the entire year. And second, they move air from one place to another instead of creating it, making them far more efficient to operate.

For a system with that many benefits, you won’t want to risk having it installed improperly by an amateur. A heat pump that’s installed badly from the start will have you calling for heat pump replacement within months, and that will double your HVAC related expenses—at the least. Luckily, we at Canella Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. have been performing heat pump installation as part of our regular services for nearly 30 years. The residents of the Hickory, Catawba Valley, and Unifour areas know us as part of their family—and with family, you’re always able to ask for help.

We’re a family-owned business happy to provide heat pump repair, installation, or replacement services. Click Canella Heating & Air Conditioning to Get Every Ounce of Comfort You Deserve.

Heat Pump Installation

Heat pump replacement could be a good idea if you’re already planning on replacing your current heating system and don’t yet own an air conditioner. For example, if you own a furnace, then you depend on a system of ducts to transport air through the home. A heat pump will use this same set of ducts, making the installation even easier.

In other cases, some homeowners in Hickory, NC may rely on a heat pump installation simply to consolidate their heating and cooling systems into one. Keep in mind, however, that this could mean ditching your natural gas heater and switching to electrical. If you’d like to keep your natural gas heating, however, you can still achieve this with a dual fuel heating system—a type of heat pump that can use gas heating as a backup.

In general, heat pumps offer a level of convenience and efficiency that you simply can’t get with a normal central AC and furnace combination.

We Provide A Full Range of Heat Pump Repair and Maintenance Services

Heat pumps are known to last 15 to 20 years, but that’s only possible with consistent heat pump maintenance and repair. To extend the life of your heat pump as long as possible, you need to avoid costly repairs. If you wait for your heat pump to break down before calling in to have it repaired, you risk exposing the machine to more damage.

Canella Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. is happy to provide heat pump repair services, but we find it much more worth your time and money to invest in annual heat pump maintenance. Of course, the maintenance job will only be as good as the technician who performs it! Our family of technicians have a reputation for getting things done right the first time, and it’s the same for our maintenance and repairs. We even promise it with a 100% guarantee that we’ll give to you in writing.
